Working in schools with young children
Similarly to our Music Therapy work, we do both in person and zoom sessions to interact with and work with children. Using signing, symbols, singing and music, we can partake in beneficial and fun group activities for children with or without S.E.N.D. We consider this work to be very important and beneficial for children, encouraging group interaction, working on important development skills and giving them a voice. One of our main focus groups within schools are children with S.E.N.D, using Makaton signing and songs to help their cognitive and expressive skills grow.
